I'M ADDICTED TO YOU!!!!

Day by day advancement in technology is increasing our distances from our loved ones. We are addicted to social networks facebook, twitter, youtube sending whole day with these instead of spending quality time with our family, our loved ones. I'm not against all of these networks, they have become our need and source of entertainment.

Keeping all this in mind I thought of designing a card which will make your love ones realize that you love them alot.

I used a neon color for the card base as neon colors are too much in fashion these days so I thought of using this color for my card.
At the center of cardfront I fastened a creme color sheet so that the monograms of networks get prominent. Then I sketched the monograms and painted them. In the end I adhered all the monograms in the center of the cardfront.

PLAY WITH COLORS!

When nothing comes to your mind just play with colors intelligently, it would definitely work for you and the outcome would be a marvelous one. I don't know about life's philosophy but this would help you alot in art and creative work.
Sharing with you an old card again from my cards collection. Its so simple like none of my cards before plus its either not time consuming. If you have no idea what to make for someone just try this.
I made this card for my friend's birthday at the very last moment. The birthday party was at 6'o clock and I started making the card at 5:15 and was done with it in just 15 mins. Thank God I reached there in time.

For the card base you can select any color(no specific color) like I did. Then I took glaze paper pieces of different colors, which were the leftovers of glaze papers, lying in my art box for so many months.I cut the strips of glaze papers, some straight, some in slanting fashion. Then I adhered it to the cardfront. I then cut the heart die from a foamic sheet and glazed it with silver glitter. And fastened it to the top right corner of the card front.
Simple?
You can write the greetings inside the card.

Thanx for visiting!

12'o clock.... IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY!

Bright sunny day! Its hot outside but my room's temperature is better than other rooms of the house. So the hot day is not disturbing me that much you can say.
Most of the requests I get on daily basis are for the birthday cards. So you would be thinking why I've been making most of the cards birthday themed. Everyone asks me to make them a special birthday card different from all of my previous ideas. So I've always been searching for something really cute and innovative. This is the reason why on and off I come up with birthday cards with diverse ideas.

I was thinking for some idea for the birthday card and this idea( you can see in pictures) twitched my mind. I already told you in my previous posts that I will do the quilling work again in some different form. So I'm going to do that today.
Moving on towards the card, I selected very bold color for the card today. Then I to make the wall clock, firstly I cut the strip from a hard chart paper. I bent the chart paper in spiral form. Then I cut the butter paper in circular die, marked it with numbers  3, 6, 9, 12( like on a wall clock) and 2 needles.  In between these numbers I adhered the small foamic sheet circles, glazed in pink glitter. I then fastened the butter paper to spiral card strip. Along this circular clock I did the quilling work. If you need the quilling work's explanation you can view my last HAPPY BIRTHDAY card post.  At the bottom of the card front I pasted black and white strip.
Ta daa! done with the card...

THINK PINK!

Few days before I shared a card from my old collection and  I was thinking to do the same today. The reason is very simple to encourage you that no one is perfect at the beginning, even I was not. Practice makes the man perfect. And so does it improved me, I would not use a word perfect for myself, there is still lot to learn and secondly they are comparatively simpler to make.

I used shocking pink card base.  For the topping of the card I had this wrapping sheet. I remember I used to love this sheet in my art box because of its hearts stamped in different styles and its pink and grey combo. Then I adhered a baby pink glace paper at the backside of the wrapping sheet. After that I folded one corner of the wrapping sheet so that the pink glaze paper is visible from that corner. Over that folded corner I fastened the transparent  button. Then I made twisted flowers with card piece. I cut the card piece in 2 flower dies, one smaller than the second one. Then I turned the edges of the flower upward, glittered both of them with silver dazzling glitter and fixed the flowers(one above the other) at the corner of  wrapping sheet.
Card ready!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Code:SM16

Monday here! working day again. Many of you would be following your hectic routine but I'm still enjoying my vacations. Its fun to be writing with fresh mind in addition to that writing early in the morning in front of a window, sitting relaxed on couch, with a cup of tea in hand where a puff of cool breeze lightly strikes your face and wishes you welcome! to the new morning.

To rejoice one's celebration with him boost up his happiness. And so does exchange of gifts and cards to congratulate one delights him.

So I thought of sharing a 'congratulations' card today which is simple and quick to make and would definitely appeal the one to whom it would be given.
I chose an attracting yellow color for the base of the card. Then I took a foamic sheet piece in a square and colored it with a grey crayon( used crayon color because it easily works on foamic sheet). After that I glittered the foamic sheet piece with silver dazzling glitter and fastened it on cardfront in slanting fashion. Then I took another card piece and drew a smiling face on it cut it in circle. Then I adhered the smiling face on the foamic sheet. To give a stitching look to the card you can originally sew the foamic sheet with needle and black thread to the card or you can cut extremely thin black strips and paste it in random manner on foamic sheet just I've done. Then to give more fine look I used green marker to draw double lines. In the end you can then write the greetings in your own writing style with black marker.

See how simple it was! :)

IT'S YOUR DAY: HAP HAP HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Code: SM15

Which is the most special day every year for you? For me it's my birthday and definitely for most of you it would have been special. Although  I've made a  birthday card before this but I wanted to make it with quilling work because a friend of mine requested me to do it for her. Plus this work has always been eye capturing for anyone who just has a glance of it once and  another reason of doing it is  because I really enjoy working with paper in this way particularly because its all about  your creativity, in which way you do it and how neatly you do it.
As it got popularity to peak among audience so in the near future I'm deciding to do more quill work with different themes and schemes.

Lets now begin with my today's card. As I was thinking to work with some specific bold colors on card so I selected light color for the base so that the quilling work gets prominent on it. I took light yellow color for base and cut two elongated strips from feroze or blue color equal to the length of the sides. Then I pasted these two strips on left and right side of the card.
I selected just 3 colors for quilling work i.e. red, blue(feroze) and white. I took three A4 sheets of all these three colors sliced the paper into thin long strips. I will give you a brief description how I made the  largest flower on the card and the rest of them would be easier for you to make.

I folded the green strip round and round and glued its edge with UHU. Then I fastened it at the center of the flower. Close up of the card will show you that I made the outer boundaries of the flower with red color. I took 5 red strips bent all of these and adhered them on card in erect position. Similarly I took blue strips and folded it from both sides then pasted it with UHU. After that I  pasted the folded strip in the inner sides of the red strips. Then I gave number of folding to the white strips and adhered them inside each petal of the flower. I left the vacant space at the right side of the card so to write the greetings. As it is a birthday card so I wrote it in a funky style.

odliie! I'm done with today's card

FIRST WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Code:SM14

How are you perfect Friday ! Since I was sharing my recent collection of cards with you all, I was thinking to share some of cards from my very old cards collection which I specially made for my cousin on her first Wedding Anniversary. So please ignore its photography because its shout out was done by me with a pathetic phone camera LOL.

Beginning with today's card description, I took a plain shocking pink card base. Then I took a baby pink foamic sheet, cut it in rectangular shape and cut a heart die from the center of it. Then I adhered it on the cardfront in such a way that leave almost 2 inches from left side of card and 1 inch from right side. Then I cut 3 strips from a purple A4 sheet turned each of them round and round in spiral. I glued all 3 spiral strips on the left side of the card. Then I fastened 3 diamondies with UHU on each spiral strip. To make the centered heart more prominent I glued mini diamondies along its edges. I ended with writing "Happy Anniversary" in bubble writing on the foamic sheet.

Baby's Day Out in a Pram

Code:SM13

Time goes you say? ah no
Alas Time stays...we go
You would all assuredly agree with it..... As the time passes we all  grow from a new born baby to adolescence  and then to oldie, finally we meet our endings one day. But reversing my words to the  first day of a man (a new born baby) to this world, what a blessed day it is! , when a mother is being gifted by a baby from God.
So the celebrations are must then!
A bundle of worlds about this gift is trying to spill out my mouth but controlling that I would directly move on to my today's card for a new born baby. I was thinking for its name and my mind suggested me a name from a movie 'Baby's Day Out' which was about a baby boy. I was madly in love with that movie so I chose that name.
I didn't select very bold colors for the card infact selected a soft color scheme. I took a light green card base in sqaure and small size as it is for baby so it must be a cute one. Then I rounded its edges with a cutter. I then took an A4 sheet in white but the size smaller then the card base. Then I pasted this A4 sheet over the cardfront in a way that leaving half an inch from all sides of cardfront in this way green color of card is visible to you. I sprinkled the green paint with a toothbrush all over the cardfront. At the bottom of the card I adhered an elongated piece of delicate white lace. Then upon this lace I adhered a green ribbon. I fastened red button in check, which when I saw in a market attracted me alot. Then slightly above the ribbon I fixed a diamondie over a small rounded card piece glazed with glitter.
Now How to make a Pram? I took a green A4 sheet piece( half of semi-circle). Then punched mini circles from white paper and sticked it to the green sheet. It would give a polka dot type pattern. Then I cut a semi-circle shape from yellow A4 sheet. And drew 3 hearts on it with blue marker. And fastened it to the card.  Now I took a 2 long strips from orange sheet and turned each of them round and round to make wheels of pram. I then pasted them on card below the pram. Then with a black marker I drew its handle of the pram. Finally here's your card.

VELVETY SPECIAL

Code: SM11

Aaaah! unexpectedly and unfortunately I had to stay away from you all for almost a week. My laptop's LED crashed and I felt like being entangled in a crisis crux with no hope to meet you people again but luckily my laptop got repaired today and here I am.
Lets begin with the card now . I've been sharing funky, girlish, cute sort of cards in my previous posts in which I tried to play with bold colors. So I thought to share a unique and black-white schemed card today.

Black on white eminents alot therefore for the card base I chose white. I took a piece of velvet fabric and cut squares of different sizes and fastened them with UHU from top to bottom and left to right in decreasing order both in number and size.
Then I took a broad black ribbon, made a bow with it and adhered it to the bottom in a slanting fashion. Then at the knot of the bow I fastened a white bead.

And ended with a template "You are special"...

IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY!!!

Code: SM10: $2.70

How amused you are when your brother is using your laptop and you snatch it from him? LOL.
I had to fight for an hour for the laptop with my brother and finally I got it. Yayyy ! And you can't imagine how excited I am when I am connected with you all through my blog. Its like a 3 years old baby's excitement who want to sing to you a poem which he has recently learnt and so am I and this excitement comes to an end as soon as I have done with the  day's post.

Hmmm! so I'll share the Birthday card with you and particularly this card could be given to a sweet little birthday girl.

For the card base I took a bold yellow color then I took A4 sheet of light yellow color cut in a wave form and pasted it on the cardfront. Then I took a white A4 sheet again cut in a wave shape but wider than the former. I took a foamic sheet piece and  colored it with a black marker then divided it in to two pieces. From the first piece I cut different shapes lengthwise( like the lines on zebra). Then I pasted these black lines or shapes on the white A4 sheet and fastened this sheet on the cardfront just above I pasted the light yellow wave. From the second piece of foamic sheet I cut small circles with a punch machine and in a sequence along the wave length adhered it to the lower part of the wave. Now I sketched a doll face with marker on the center of cardfront. I made it's lips with pink marker and at its head I drew a bow. I filled this bow with dazzling  glitter sheet.

At the bottom of the card I adhered a piece of red ribbon and  then I  made a tag with a black card(like a price tag on your clothes) and pasted this tag on the ribbon.

Done! card ready

COMING SOON! EID MUBARAK

Code No: SM08:$ 3.00

Beautiful cloudy weather insisted me to create my post early in the morning today. I was too fresh to write, duh ! the net was not working again, so I have to write in the evening.
Anyways Eid (Muslim Festival) is too close. Few days left to go. I'm already done with my Eid shopping. Eeee ! I'm excited to wear my new long chain bag.I know most of you would still be shopping till the last day.
Well! While celebrating Eid don't forget to share your happiness with needy people.
By my repetitive Eid chalk talk you would surely have reached to the point that I'm going to share my Eid card with you.

Let's move on to the card.

I took a grey card base ( base should be firm than normal cards) and cut a diamond shape die within the card base, a little above the center. Then I took a golden dazzling net sheet cut it in diamond shape pasted it on an A4 sheet and adhered the A4 sheet at the back side of cardfront. Then I took a printed black stone and fastened it on the A4 sheet visible from diamond shaped frame. And ended with writing 'Eid GreeTings'.

Close up of the card

See it was simple naa :)

HAPPY FRIENDSHIPDAY

 Code: SM09: $2.70

Sunday was a funday and a perfect day to celebrate friendship. 4th August ‘The Global Friendship Day’. And I was dying to share my friendship day card with you. So with Monday, day beginning with loads of work, I'm here with you all. Although friendship day has passed away but Mark Twain very well said about friendship that “Good friends, good books and a sleepy conscience: this is the ideal life” So friend is not the one who is to be adored only a single day but each and every day could be celebrated as a friendship day.

So if you missed my friendship day card just don't get worry you can still present it to your friend any day you like to.

For the card base I selected white color so whatever (red T-shirt and price tag) is adhered to the card it would look prominent. I pasted the transparent stamped sheet on the cardfront. Then sketched a T-shirt over Red A4 sheet wrote within it with black marker and drew a heart and glittered it silver and m stick it to the foamic sheet . I then glued this T-shirt with UHU to the transparent stamped panel. At the bottom of shirt I fixed a hook and hanged a price tag (made over another card piece). At the end I gave a stitched look to the four borders by using a black marker.

Inside the card I pasted red A4 sheet strip along the length of the card. So to further beautify it. I'm done with my card.

GET WELL SOON

Code : SM07: $ 2.60

Ahh ! Fine Saturday perfect day to write.... weekend ahead!. Although already enjoying my summer vacations :D. But Sunday has it's own attractions, my favorite shows plus my favorite foods.

I believe themed cards are difficult to design. You have to be specific about the theme and then merge your creativity with that. So it was a small challenge for me to design this card and I successfully accomplished it.Moving towards today's theme for Handmade card which is 'GetWell Soon'.

I took a brown card base and cut a square die within that. Then attached the blue A4 sheet at the back of the card. I cut close to oval shape die from foamic sheet to make a bandage and punched 6 circles at each poles of the bandage with punch machine. Then I drew the central happy smiley on bandage to create a little bit cute impression, so to bring a smile on face whoever the card is being given to. Then adhered this bandage over the A4 sheet which was visible from the center of the card base. I took a foamic sheet piece according to the width of the card and glued white paper on it trimmed its edges in outward curves. Then I punched these curves with punch machine. I took a dotted brown ribbon so the brown scheme continues and adhered it against the curve-edged foamic sheet. Then tagged the card with 'Get well soon'. I changed my writing style from normal while writing the tag to adorn it. And fixed 3 buttons at the right corner vertically.

we are done with the card.....
yoohoo!  ready to go

I took two close-up images from top and bottom of cardfront so that you guys can get a better idea.

EYE TO EYE

Code : SM06: $2.20

whoosh ! girls this is something really for you or it could be a Halloween stuff.
When I posted this on my page on Facebook, originally I named it "Eye Mask" one of my friend asked me to name it 'Eye to Eye' LOL. I liked the idea and so done with it now. Some of the visitors here might be knowing its funny history. Anyways don't get worry I'm not getting into the history of name and I'll give you a brief description of my today's card. Although I'm quite late for saying it today's card the next day has already begun.
I sprinkled the shocking pink paint on baby pink with an old tooth brush of mine. Then I drew the mask on an another card piece, designed a girlish pattern on it and glued diamondies on it and in the end tagged it with "Thoughts of u'.
